I always have such great intentions when it comes to fitness. I love the feeling of accomplishment after I finish a workout and the slight soreness of my muscles. I love how I feel when I have a great routine going. My routine is definitely not where I want it to be at the moment – there are only so many hours in the day, right? Great news is that Christmas is just a few days away from the start of a new year, new goals and new routines. Not that you have to wait to make a change in your lifestyle, but it sure is easier after the hectic month of December! That being said, I am planning are starting a Whole30 at the beginning of 2018, so if you are interested in joining me in an exclusive Whole30 group, comment below or message me!
I’ve rounded up some gift ideas for health and fitness gurus and aspiring gurus 😉
(be sure to pin this for future reference!)
One. I have owned multiple Fitbits in the past and I love them. I currently own the FitBit Blaze and it is similar in size to the Apple Watch. The Blaze connects to your phone and displays texts and emails as they come in, it tracks steps, activity, distance, heart rate, sleep, and also has programs to help with meditative breathing, workout routines, etc. You can also set multiple alarms on it and it will vibrate. I have to say, it is a much gentler and pleasant way to wake up in the morning compared to my obnoxious phone alarms! (David appreciates this too! haha)
Two. I am a wardrobe-motivated person. I actually look forward to going to things when I know I get to wear that new sweater or dress out. Is this weird? Please tell me I’m not the only one! New workout leggings definitely motivate me to get in the gym…or do laps around Target. This top is on my wish list and these are great sports bras!
Three. Guys need workout clothes too! These look like great shirts for physical activity and I know David has some similar. These shorts are going to be under the tree for a certain someone I know… 😉
Four. You gotta wear shoes when you go the the gym, right? Here’s some tennis shoes for ladies, and some for the guys.
Five. If going to the gym just doesn’t work for you, like me most of the time, there are hundreds of online workouts to do! Just grab some weights, yoga mat, foam roller and resistance bands and you are set! I love following Tone It Up, Whitney Simmons, Blogilates, and The Fitness Marshall (no gear necessary.. just get ready for your abs to hurt from laughing!).
Six. Hydration is key when you are exercising so keeping a water bottle close by is a pro move. I have heard excellent things about this one keeping ice for hours upon hours. Plus it comes in cute colors…what’s not to love?
Seven. Fitness classes are a great way to be accountable and stay motivated. These classes can be pretty pricey, so why not gift classes to your loved one? Not sure what they love? That’s OK! Class Pass allows you to purchase a select number of classes to attend in one month and they can choose and book them. Be sure to research how many class pass associated studios there are in the area…most major cities have options! I have about 8 different options within my desired driving distance, the rest are not worth the drive.. the struggle of living in the ‘burbs. Not really. I love it.
Eight. Fitness is great and all, but 9 times out of 10, you won’t get the results you desire if you aren’t eating right. Have you heard the phrase, abs are made in the kitchen? I totally believe it. Having great eating habits is so important… If you know the person you are gifting for follows a certain diet plan (ex. Whole30), why not get them a book or cookbook in that subject matter? This is about to be released and it is on my wish list! This cookbook looks pretty helpful.
Nine. I love wearing a hat while I am out walking with my boys or at the gym.. It helps hide the fact that I haven’t washed my hair for days and my eye makeup from the day before is still smeared all over my face. I can see David wearing this one all the time, and I really love this one for myself!
Ten. Gym bags are great for carrying a change of clothes, water bottle, keys, wallet, ankle weights, resistance bands, etc. This one could work for both guys or girls and it’s on sale for under $20!
Eleven. After an extremely tough workout, I feel like I can barely move…and the next day is even worse! I have found that soaking in a bath with lots of bath salts can really help!
Twelve. My Bob double jogging stroller was the absolute best gift I received last year! I use it on a weekly (if not daily) basis and it makes going on walks so enjoyable! I also bought this to go with it, and I am eyeing this as well!
