Well…one out of three isn’t too bad, right? I’m rocking the day old yoga pants and tank top, 3 day old hair in a pony and some major bags under my eyes. Maybe after naptime we will take a trip around the corner to our Starbucks for Mommy’s sanity, especially since Daddy has a late meeting at work tonight!
We had a great weekend and I was so not ready for it to be over…
On Friday, David (AKA my art director/photographer) helped me out with my Quick and Easy Makeup Tutorial. It felt a little weird at first with me trying to act normal in front of the camera, but by the end I think we both got it down… This was something new to me (obvi) but I really love makeup and I want to incorporate more of it into the blog. What do y’all think?
Friday night was Carroll’s Homecoming. My senior homecoming was TEN years ago so it just kind of blows my mind that I was back home with my little family.
The Dragons won…just in case you were wondering! 😉
Saturday morning we were awoken bright and early by the kiddos so I made my current favorite Pumpkin Protein French Toast. We then ran a few errands and ended up watching the A&M/Alabama game at my mom’s house. To take away from the stress of that game, I made a little craft with the boys… I LOVE it so much. It is pretty much my new favorite thing in our house.
I used just acrylic paint and a foam brush to paint the canvas (a few coats) then painted Luke’s feet white for little ghosts and Ben’s hands black for a spider. The hardest part was getting Ben to open his hands up and keep his hands out of his mouth! haha For the spider web, spider’s eyes, and the writing, I used a white paint pen. I am thinking about maybe making one for Thanksgiving or Christmas as well…maybe both! 🙂
My mom and I also gave him a much needed hair cut! He wouldn’t hold still so blurry picture it is…
Earlier in the week I ordered The Magnolia Story by Chip and Joanna Gaines and I finished it this weekend! I am not one that really sits down and reads but this book was just so easy to read and it was almost like you were listening to Chip and Jo talk back and forth with each other. They discuss all about their marriage and the struggles they endured before becoming the HGTV power couple. I think Benny Boo liked it too!
Sunday Morning we went to church and came home with this precious piece of artwork courtesy of Luke. The girl that volunteers in the church nursery is just the sweetest and Luke loves her!
After naptime, Luke and I headed up to Target for a few things and we had a great time shopping!
He is just the best little shopper and there is always something that captures his attention. Yesterday, it was the inflatable Jack-O-Lantern yard decoration…
We helped Daddy put up a few Halloween decorations to finish off our day!
Hope you have a blessed week!
“Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
This was the verse that we studied in Sunday School. I thought this was the perfect verse for a Monday, whether you have a big exam for school (looking at you, Tara), a lot of meetings or a presentation at work, or if you are like me and have a huge pile of laundry on your couch that never seems to get smaller. Cast your worry to God and let Him take care of the rest. He’s got this.
