Linking up with Andrea today to discuss what we would do if we won the lottery! David and I had discussed this a while back when it was like the biggest powerball ever and three people won it.
First and foremost, we would hire an accountant and figure out the tax situation. That’s what happens when you are both children of accountants… 😉
Next we would give 10% to the church…enough said.
I would also give a nice chunk to Family Legacy – an organization near and dear to our family’s heart…thanks to this girl.
Another thing that is near and dear to my heart would be to help pay off this little guy’s hospital bills. If anyone is interested in helping out (you don’t need to win the lottery to donate a little! ;)) you can donate here.
This is boring yes, but probably about half of the winnings would go towards savings, retirement, college funds for the boys, etc.
Like they would have a choice to go anywhere else…
We would build or buy our dream house in our dream community. It has always been a dream of mine to raise my kids where I was raised but the cost of living has skyrocketed and is likely out of reach…for now.
I’d be ok with this one… 🙂
We would also probably upgrade vehicles at some point. I love my Mazda CX-5 at the moment but I swear, all I have heard David talk about lately are Teslas. So we are gonna get that boy a Tesla.
Haha! I couldn’t help it.
This is the big boy model!
I’d probably hire a personal trainer and have some shopping sprees to fill my closet in my new house, of course. Annnd what better to fill that house with items from my Holiday Gift Guide: Joanna Gaines Style! But I would love to go with David to Italy. He is a huge Roman history buff and I know he has been dying to visit everything he has learned over the years.
There you have it! I’m sure I could spend all day thinking about what to do with lottery winnings… a whole lot better than thinking about election stuff. Thank goodness it is almost over.
Remember, whoever wins, whether you voted for them or not, God’s got this. HE triumphs in the end. Take comfort in that!
